If you need a film recommendation for this weekend then look no further, 1995's kids written by Harmony Korine and Directed by @larryclarkofficial⁠⠀

This film is an honest look at the lives of New York teenagers in the nineties. From the script right to the casting this was semi documentary, taking kids that were hanging out in the streets skating in NY and putting them in the film, looking at drug taking, sex, HIV/AIDs and the social structures and behaviours that are entangled in it all.⁠⠀

There is such authenticity in all the cultural references from music to skate culture (small details on the latter like a scene when the boys are a hanging out in an apartment and they have Video Days one of the most relevant skate videos and now Iconic videos of all time playing on the TV)⁠⠀

For such a varied cast of non actors there are some incredible portrays and moments of brutal honesty along with the powerhouse and omdo muse that is @chloessevigny and a very young @rosariodawson.⁠⠀
