Joe Cruz

We just came across Joe Cruz's photography in the most recent issue of Display Copy magazine and we were blown away.⁠⁠

Cruz really blends the lines between art and commercial photography. His work combines a mixture of techniques and inputs which seem to constantly be jostling for attention. His practice led him to utilise a variety of handheld scanners in unorthodox ways, resulting in images that evoke a classical painting aesthetic through contemporary means, almost as if Warhol was alive in the late 19th century and created the Factory with the impressionists in Paris!⁠⁠
