Brotherus works in photography and moving image. There is a very autobiographical element to her work, having herself as a prominent feature in a large amount of her photos. We love how she works with the human form and landscape and how the two interact, contrast and compliment each other.⁠⁠

We also love how she is visiting written instructions for performance-oriented art of the 1950s-70s in her work and her work with Erwin Wurm's 'One Minute Sculptures'.⁠⁠
